Suggestions

I recently posted a blog called "The Basics" where I talked about moisturizers, face washes, etc. I am no expert, but I've been doing this for years, and it's been working for me. So I felt I should give some suggestions on products (Don't expect them to work for you just because I suggest them, though. Everyone's face is different; experiment till you find what works for your skin type.)

  1. Face wash: My pick is Clean and Clear's Morning Burst. Since my face is on the oily side, I use the shine control facial scrub (It's the light green one with yellow and blue beads), (Watch the labels because there is a scrub and a cleanser scrubs exfoliate while cleansers don't), but I have also used their dark blue and light blue scrubs, they work, too.
  2. Moisturizers:  Again, Clean and Clear. I prefer the dual action oil free moisturizer. It keeps my face from drying out ,whether from the harsh winters or the sun and chlorine in the summer. When I need extra protection, I sometimes use the Sunscreen Clean and Clear moisturizer, but it's not my favorite because you can feel the sunscreen in it, and it's sort of rough.
  3. Green Stick Concealers: Green stick concealers are not something you see in everyone's makeup bag, but they are very helpful, and I suggest every girl have one! They look like lipstick, but they are green and can be found in the foundation section. I use cover girls cover green (green stick smooth concealor.)
  4. Corrector: For a corrector I like mary kays corrector. It comes in a little black tube. All you do is squeeze the tube and dab the dot that comes out on any problem area. It covers amazingly well and doesn't make your face look cakey.
  5. Liquid Foundation: For liquid foundation I have tried probably around ten different kinds in the past three years. In the end I have found that loreal's true match super blendable foundation has worked the best for me. It is super light, goes on super even, and is easy to apply.
  6. Powder Foundation: I have gone through tons of powder foundations too and recently I have found one that I have fallen head over heels for. It is Neutrogena mineral sheers loose powder. It applys so light and airy that you don't even feel it and yet it gives the best coverage I've ever had.
