Falsies!

From the simple to the daring they make them all. False eyelashes are a great way to add more umph to an outfit. Whether your going out in the evening so you add a pair of simple elegant black lashes or your going out to a costume party so you decide to throw on a pair of peacock feathers, falsies are the way to go.

Date night gone wrong

So, now that we have talked about different looks to wear on date night maybe we should lay some ground rules. These are the looks you never want to wear on a date....unless your only looking for one date.

Red Lipstick: Yeah red lipstick is a major essential for any girl but DO NOT wear it on date night! No guy wants to see a girl all piled up with makeup on.  First off, if you want that goodnight kiss and your wearing red lipstick, well don't expect it. No guy is going to kiss you and get that gunky red lipstick all over them. Try a nude colored chap stick that wont disgust the guy and apply it at the beginning of the date so it isn't as harsh by the end and it wont rub off on the guy.

Bright colors: Yeah, us girls like experimenting with makeup and we love bright colors. But guys just don't understand makeup and if you walk out that door with bright, bright makeup on, then the guy will look at you like you have two heads.  When your going on a date you want to keep it simple and sophisticated. The guy will look another way if you show up looking like this, so try to tone it down a bit.

Dark colors: So another thing to watch is going too dark. Again, piling on the makeup is bad! Don't show up to your date looking like a wanna be goth girl; you'll look hideous and that guy won't be calling you again.

Falsies: Lastly, don't put anything false on your face. Girls have a tendency to love to wear false eyelashes all the time. Yeah false eyelashes are cute and if you get a normal looking pair there is nothing wrong with wearing them out. But when you go on a date a guy wants to see the natural you. If you have fake stuff on then how in the world is he ever supposed to see what you really look like. A guy will like you more and be more attracted to you with less fake and more natural.

Date Night!

So it's date night right? And your standing in front of the bathroom mirror thinking, "He'll be here soon what the heck should I do!?" Well I'm here to take a little stress off your shoulders.
Here are a couple options for a date night look. Depending on your personal style, choose which one that fits you best.

Sweet Girly:  Start off with "The Basics"
Then take a grey or black eyeliner and put a little bit on your lower waterline.
Apply a very thin line to your upper lash line and smudge slightly.
Then take a light pink eyeshadow and apply it all over your lids and take a white shadow to highlight your brow bone.
Take a light pink blush and apply to your cheek bones
Then apply a light pink lipstick to your lips.
This look will have him staring at you all night thinking just how gorgeous you are.

Sexy smoldering eyes: Start off with "The Basics"
Then continue with applying a natural color to your whole lid and underneath your eyes.(Try a light brown).
Then apply a purplish brown color from your lids to your crease.
Now take the black color and very lightly apply it to your inner crease and lightly under your bottom lashes. (Don't forget to blend!)
Apply a black liner underneath your lash line and to your upper lash line very thin. Smudge the eyeliner on top, past your eyelid angling upward to create a slight wing.
Apply a layer or two of mascara and then apply nude lip gloss.
You'll keep his focus on your eyes all night long with this smoldering look.
All Natural....sort of: Every guy wants a girl who looks natural and doesn't pile on the makeup. So you'll have him thinking how naturally gorgeous you are all night long with this sort of natural look.
First start off with "The Basics"
Then apply a light brown eyeshadow that is just a shade darker then your natural skin tone to your eyes. (Apply to top and underneath lower lashes)
Then apply a layer of mascara
                                Some light pink blush
End with a nude chap stick.
No guy will be able to resist your natural beauty with this look.

Pretty Purple

I think this look is super pretty. It looks alittle harsh in this picture but it's a great and very pretty look for a date night or going to a party.
  1. First you start off with "The Basics"
  2. Then you take a white/silvery eyeshadow and apply it to your entire lid the whole way up to your brows.
  3. Take a purple eyeshadow after and line your top lash line with it.
  4. Apply it to your crease and out to your outer corner so it attaches with the purple you just lined your lash line with.
  5. Apply a white liner (or even the white/silvery eyeshadow from up top) to your waterline.
  6. Take the purple from up top and line underneath your lower waterline with it.
  7. Apply mascara
  8. I would keep the lipgloss simple and nude or light pink, but apply whatever you'd like.
  9. Now you can go be the best face at the party.
P.S. If you want to wear this look to a date or a wedding, then make the purple lighter and blend super well so it looks simple and pretty.

Dramatic double wing

For this look we are going to take the dramatic single wing and step it up a notch. Now we are going to do a dramatic double wing. You can wear this at any time, but it is most suited for going out at night.

  1. As always start off with "The Basics"
  2. Now take your eyeliner and apply it to your lower waterline.
  3. After, apply your eyeliner to your upper lash line and wing it out to just a little bit before the end of your eyebrow.
  4. Now go underneath your waterline and make a super thin line under, going out and winging it out the whole way to the end of your eyebrows.
  5. Apply a layer of mascara
  6. Then some lipgloss
  7. Now you have your dramatic double wings!

Simple double wing

So we had the single dramatic wing and the double dramatic wing, I think it's time we settle down alittle. This is a simple double wing. Something perfect for any time of the day or night.

  1. Start with "The Basics"
  2. Take a black eyeliner and apply it to your lower waterline
  3. Then make a line with your eyeliner on your upper lash line.
    1. Just a simple thin line that extends out slightly past your eyelashes.
  4. Then start in the middle and apply the eyeliner out again, angling upward slightly and taking it just alittle less then you took the bottom one out.
  5. Apply a coat of mascara
  6. Some lipgloss
  7. Now you have your georgous simple wing!

Halloween: Secret Agent

As for me, I'm being a secret agent for halloween this year. It was a quick, simple, and cheap costume for me which is exactly what I needed.

  1. First start off with "The Basics"
  2. Then take a black liner and make a medium thick wing on your upper lash line. (The sleak wing goes perfectly with whole secret agent look).
  3. Next curl your eyelashes
  4. After, apply a coat or two of mascara
  5. Then apply a nude lip plumper or chapstick.

For my hair, I just did a sleek, straight, ponytail. And for my outfit I wore a pair of black skinny jeans, a black tank top, and a black blazer/suit jacket. You can also top off this look with a plastic, \toy gun and a fake police badge on your waist. And of course some nice eye candy with a suit on helps top off the look, too.

Halloween: Zombie

This year for Hallowe'en my friends asked me to do their makeup for them. My one friend is being a zombie for halloween, so I am going to take you step by step on how to do a zombie look for Hallowe'en.

  1. First apply a light color foundation over your entire face.
  2. Then apply a black eyeliner to your eyelid.
    • Just put random streaks all over eyelid (top and bottom lid), then take your eyeliner smudger and smudge the black all around until your eyes are completely black.
  1. Next take a black eyeshadow and apply it all over your eyes where you put your eyeliner.
  2. After, take a powder brush and brush the black eyeshadow all over your face until you have your desired color.
  3. Take a skinny lip brush, and using a reddish/maroon color, streak the lipstick on certain spots of your face.
    1. All you do is make short dashes until you get whatever length line you want. take the lip brush and smudge it out off the sides so it blends into your face alittle bit.
  4. Apply foundation and black eyeshadow to your lips also, then you're done.
To top off this look, spray your hair black and shake it so it looks black and crazy. Then take some old clothes and a pair of scissors and poke holes in your shirt then rip the holes to how ever big you want it.

Pink smokey eye

This look is very bold and dramatic. I would wear this for going out in the evening, but not during the day. Its just a little too harsh for day time.

  1. Start off with "The Basics"
  2. Next apply hot pink eyeshadow to your eyelid, up to your crease.
  3. Then apply a dark black eyeshadow from your crease to your outer corner and into your inner corner.
  4. Take a black eyeliner and place it underneath your bottom waterline, just a thin line.
  5. Take the black eyeshadow and apply it from your outer crease, down underneath the eyeliner you just put on.
    • Smudge the black eyeshadow together slightly with the black eyeliner, so it doesn't look as harsh.
  1. Highlight your brow bone with a light pink eyeshadow.
    • Take the highlight color and edge the black eyeshadow with it. So, go from your brow bone down around the black underneath your eye, and up past your inner corner.
  1. Apply a layer of mascara
  2. Finish with a nude colored gloss.
  3. Now you're ready to rock the night.

Calendula Plant

Calendula officinalis is a plant that is more commonly known as pot marigold. These plants have oil extracts that have been found to have many good side effects when used. So people have recently started putting it into cosmetics products. The oil is an anti-inflammatory, skin conditioner, plus, as an added bonus, it's a great fragrance!

So if you ever wake up with a puffy face or you have dry skin problems going on (which don't deny it, we all have dry skin in the winter) look for a skin product with Calendula in it.
